May 18, 1951 - Feb. 8, 2017

Mr. Robert "Rob" Logan Fagner died unexpectedly at the hospital on February 8, 2017, in Temple, Texas at the age of 65.

Robert Fagner is survived by his parents, J and Peggy Fagner of Valley Mills, Texas; wife, Paula Petrie Fagner of Holland, Texas; children, Jessica Smith and husband, Brian of Holland, Texas; J. Fagner and wife, Brandi of Lorena, Texas; Joshua Fagner of Holland, Texas; Kristen Zajicek and husband, Scott of Holland, Texas; siblings, Gary Fagner and wife, Erika of Ecuador; Scott Fagner and wife Elaine of Waco, Texas; Mother in Law Roberta Petrie of Holland, Texas; and his grandchildren Caleigh, Cayton, Chyler, Gavin, Owen, and Molly.

Rob was born on May 18, 1951, in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts at Westover Air Force Base to J and Peggy Shepard Fagner. Rob attended schools in several states having been raised in a military family but graduated from Davis, Utah. He was class of 1975 at Texas A&M University where he was a proud member of the Corp of Cadets. Whoop! Go Hellcat Nine! He married Paula Petrie May 28, 1977, in Holland, Texas. After graduating from Sam Houston State University in 1981, his career included teaching students both Art and Math, as well as coaching, in Shepherd, Holland, Jarrell, and Cameron, TX. He retired from Cameron ISD after a total of 30 years of educational service.

Rob was an accomplished artist who loved jewelry, metalsmithing, pottery, glass blowing, and painting. He was very dedicated to his children and grandchildren and was a constant fixture at their schools, sporting events, and extracurricular activities. Rob was a vibrant yet gentle, caring, loving, and selfless man. He was an active and dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church of Holland and often volunteered in his community.

A private memorial service for close family and friends is scheduled for Wednesday, February 15, 2017. A reception will follow at 3 pm at the Kuhlmann Civic Center in Holland, TX. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rob's life. Aggie attire and/or Hawaiian shirts encouraged.
