Harry Neal Bauerschlag
October 26, 1942 - February 3, 2017

Harry Neal Bauerschlag, 74, of Holland passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 in Holland.

A memorial service for Mr. Bauerschlag will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Salado United Methodist Church in Salado with Rev. Lara Whitley-Franklin officiating.

Harry was born on October 26, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to Elmo and Vera (Beard) Bauerschlag. He was raised in Thorndale and graduated from Thorndale High School in 1960. Mr. Bauerschlag attended Texas A&M and graduated in 1965 with a degree in Agriculture. He taught Agriculture Class at Temple High School from 1971-1979. In 1979, he purchased Custom Agriservice in Heidenheimer and owned and operated it until his death. Mr. Bauerschlag married Jeanne Fuller in San Antonio in 1983 and they were married for 34 years before he passed away. Harry was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Salado and was a devoted father, brother, husband, and Christian.

Survivors include his wife Jeanne, sons Clay Bauerschlag and his wife Stephani of Montgomery, Texas, Kevin Matocha and his wife Micki of Salado, Texas, and Kenneth Matocha and his wife Audrey of Holland, Texas, daughter Teresa Spaw and her husband Scott of Thorndale, Texas, brother Burke Bauerschlag and his wife Evelyn of Thorndale, Texas, and sister Diane Jones of Benson, Arizona. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, Jonathan Lisenbe and his wife Jessica of Tyler, Jordan Kate Lisenbe of Dallas, Jessica Spaw of Dallas, Jillian Spaw of College Station, Amber Smith and her husband Adam, Kayla Bailey and her husband Ramsey, Steven Bauerschlag, Madison Bauerschlag, Kelton Matocha, Kourt Matocha, Alexis Gray, Jacob Gray, and Kaylee Matocha, and 5 great grandchildren.

Dossman Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of the arrangements.
