Michelle Lynn Villareal of Houston, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 28, 2017, at the age of 42. Michelle was born on June 9, 1974, in Houston, Texas. She attended Stratford High School (1992) and graduated from Texas A&M University (1996) with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she worked for Alliance Engineering in Houston.
In 2008, Michelle married George Kenneth Villareal in Sedona, Arizona. Michelle was the beloved mother of two beautiful sons, Dylan and Tyler. Michelle's compassion, gentle nature with children, love of sports, and intrinsic kindness will be dearly missed. Michelle always put the wishes of others before her own and had a genuine and infectious smile. She loved being outdoors and never shied away from a physical challenge, volleyball game, race, or workout. She was a passionate advocate for children with Down Syndrome and Autism, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Michelle is survived by her husband George Villareal and their two sons, Dylan and Tyler; her mother Donna Brown; her father Larry (Virginia) Smith; her grandmother Chickie Brown; her brother Brett (Barbara) Smith and their two children, Avery and Holden; her twin sister Kristen (Matt) Moran and their three children, Luke, Lauren, and Kyle; her mother-in-law Denece Leaser; her father-in-law George (Betty) Villareal; her sister-in-law Jennifer (Martin) Tschirschwitz and their two children, Sophia and Connor; and her brother-in-law Mike Villareal; along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who all adored and admired her. In her short life, Michelle built a legacy of close friendships and her personal character and love for others will be a lasting inspiration to us all.
A memorial service will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michelle's name to www.AutismSpeaks.org
