Lewis Roger Moehlman
1944 - 2017

LEWIS ROGER MOEHLMAN, Age 72, died 01/20/17. Lewis was the proud father of Randy (Karen) Moehlman and Scott (Luisa) Moehlman and grandfather of Abigail, Kyle, Bridget, Jake and Daniel Moehlman. He leaves his sister Lou Anne (Dale) Sinor; loving family Nancy (Aaron) Rubin and Debbie (Dale) Poslosky; and many relatives and friends.

Lewis was born to Roger and Louise Moehlman and raised in Pasadena, TX.

Deaf from birth, Lewis attended Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis, which gave him the life skills necessary to be deaf in a hearing world. A Texas A&M graduate, he took his first job as a Programmer in 1968 at Boeing (McDonnell Douglas) in St. Louis where he worked for 44 years before retiring. Lewis was an athlete who played and coached softball well into his 50s for the St. Louis Bell Club. He had a very analytical mind and enjoyed all kinds of puzzles and problem-solving games.

Lewis had a smile for everyone and was a notorious practical joker. “Gig ‘em Aggies!”

Services: Visitation Wednesday, January 25, from 4-8 pm and Funeral Service on Thursday, January 26, at 10am, both at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd, in Kirkwood. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Central Institute of the Deaf are appreciated; (cid.edu/support-cid/donate).
