Edward Emmett Hagan was born on April 3, 1919 in Dallas to Margaret and Michael Edward Hagan. Ed married Virginia Friend of Milwaukee WI on January 4, 1945 in Silver Spring, MD. He was the loving father of Margaret (Peggy) Wiseman and husband Jerry, Catherine Ramage, both of Hico, TX, and Michael Edward and wife Kate of Memphis, TN. He was the loving grandfather to Jane Black and husband Brad, Anna Demiglio and husband Chris, Christina O'Jibway and Husband Jeff, Halle and Abbey Hagan, and Great Grandfather to Garret Turner, Brady Black, and Lewis O'Jibway.

Ed attended Holy Trinity Elementary School and North Dallas High School, graduating in 1935. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1939 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. While at A&M, Ed was recognized as an Outstanding Student, Company Commander, and was a member of Tau Beta Pi.
Ed worked for Magnolia Petroleum before entering the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant, where he studied radar at Harvard, MIT, and the Royal Air Force in Canada. His World War II experience took him to Florida, Alaska, and the Aleutian Islands, and was honorably discharged as a Captain, remaining in the Army Reserves until 1958.

After his discharge he returned to Magnolia and shortly thereafter moved to Chevron. His career with Chevron took him to Natchez MS, Ruston LA, Houston TX, Perth West Australia, Maracaibo Venezuela, and to Midland TX, where he retired after 33 years. He was a registered Professional Engineer.
Retirement took Ed back to Dallas, where he worked as a consultant in the oil and gas field for several years. Ginny and Ed spent many wonderful years travelling throughout the world until they moved to The Waterview on Lake Granbury.

The visitation will take place at Calvary Hill North Chapel at 10:00 am, with the holy rosary being recited at 10:30 am. The Mass of Christian Burial will also be in the North Chapel at 11:00 am with the committal to follow at the graveside.
