LAWRENCE EMIL DUBE
Lawrence Emil Dube, devoted Husband, Father, Pop-Pop, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend joined his heavenly Father and reunited with his beloved Eleanor during the pre-dawn hours of Sunday, November 06, 2016, while surrounded by family at his home in Rosenberg,
Fort Bend County, Texas. Lawrence was born on October 18, 1924 at home in The Grove Texas in Coryell County, Texas to William John Dube, Sr. and Martha Marie Kieschnick Dube. Lawrence was the youngest of seven children and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
School in The Gove, Texas and later high school in Moody, Texas. After graduating from high school, Lawrence joined the Navy and proudly served our country through World War II. After the war, Lawrence worked on a family ranch in Levita, Texas. He then attended
Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry. Following graduation from Texas A & M, fate brought Lawrence to Rosenberg, Texas, where he taught agricultural night classes to the returning
World War II veterans. He then was recruited by Ralston Purina and began a successful career in the feed business, climbing the ladder to a Regional Sales Manager. One of many highlights of his career was being named the top Regional Sales Manager in the entire
United States for Ralston Purina. Lawrence retired after approximately 30 years of service in 1986. It was after Lawrence first arrived in Fort Bend County that he met the love of his life, Eleanor Jewel Prather. Lawrence and Eleanor married in 1950. This
union produced four daughters. After retiring, Eleanor and Lawrence enjoyed their three granddaughters and family trips. Lawrence had a green thumb and loved to garden. He had an orchard and garden up until the year of his death that for many years supplied
family, friends and the entire neighborhood with grapefruit, oranges, lemons, and a variety of vegetables. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, and loved to barbeque and cook game dinners. Lawrence also loved and had a way with animals. For a number
of years, he raised bird dogs. Lawrence was respected, generous, and a mentor to many. He was well liked with a one of a kind personality and sense of humor. Lawrence is survived by his four daughters Patricia Kay Dube, Dr. Virginia Kayron Dube, Nancy Jane
Dube Bohne and her husband Kurt, and Lawren Ann Dube Rives and her husband John Ashton, three granddaughters Leah Rachel Rives, Lisbeth Ashton Rives-Bankston and her husband Hollis, and Christine Alexandra Bohne. He is also survived by his older sister, Frances

Jr., and Charles Ernest Dube. The family expresses gratitude to Earlene Thomas and the staff of Houston Hospice, in particular Joe Hochman. A Memorial Service celebrating Lawrence’s life is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran
