Harvey Edwin Pearcy
September 25, 1936 - October 8, 2016

Harvey “Edwin” Pearcy, 80 of Durant, OK passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Durant, OK. He was born on September 25, 1936 in Jonesboro, AR to Leo Warren and Fronia (Green) Pearcy. He married the love of his life, Jeani Frazier on March 18, 1961 in Lawton, OK, and they spent 55 years happily married.

Edwin attended the University of Texas A & M, and then went on to attend Purdue University to get his Master’s in Education. They moved to Bryan County in October of 2010. Edwin was a member of the 7th and Beech Church of Christ in Durant, elder and deacon in Spearman at the Spearman Church of Christ. Edwin enjoyed fishing, baking cookies, serving others, and spending time with grandkids and family.

Edwin is preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Margaret Coble.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Jeani of Durant, OK, daughter April Heitz and husband Layne of Durant, OK, son Newell Allen Pearcy of Durant, OK, daughter Tischa Fry and husband Steven of Bridgeport, TX, grandson Josh Heitz and wife Mandy of Bentonville, AR, grandson Logan Fry of Bridgeport, TX, grandson Bregan Heitz and wife Crystel of Ardmore, OK, granddaughter Shelbi Allardyce and husband Jason of Euless, TX, and granddaughter Laikyn Fry of Bridgeport, TX.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at 7th and Beech Church of Christ. Officiating will be Ministers John Curtis and Logan Cates with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery. Family Hour will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 6-8:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Josh Heitz, Bregan Heitz, Logan Fry, Jason Allardyce, David Turner, Matt Mauck, Steve Felton, and Jeff Hamblin. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Cartwright, Sidney Lewis, David Parker, JD Culbreath, and Wade Peterson. Condolences can be sent to www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
