Charles Brown Williams Jr.
Charles Brown Williams, Jr. LCol USAF (Ret.) died Sept. 19, 2016. He had been a resident of Panama City Beach, FL for 35 years.
Born Sept. 24, 1921 in New Orleans, LA to Charles Brown Williams and Nell Pier Williams. Charley attended Alcee Fortier H. S. in New Orleans, where he participated in the school diving team. He continued his education at Texas A&M University, studying architecture
and engineering. Before graduating, Charley enlisted in the Army Air Corp and spent his time during WWII in the Pacific on Iwo Jima. He returned to active duty for the Korean War, after which he stayed in the Air Force until his retirement in 1968. He continued
working as an Architect/Project Manager at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana until his full retirement in 1980. Charley married the love of his life, Rosemary Thompson, from Shreveport, LAa in 1958. They had two children, Craig T. Williams of Birmingham, Alabama
and Margaret Nell (Williams) Sinner of Golden, Colorado. He lived in Shreveport, LA until the death of his beloved wife, Rosemary.
He is survived by his sister, Nell W. Jones of Joplin, Missouri; His children Craig T. Williams, wife Ann Martin Williams and their children Megan Williams and Clark Williams; Margaret Nell (Williams) Sinner, husband Gary D. Sinner and their children Rosemary
Sinner and Robyn E. King. He had one great-granddaughter, Clarabelle King.
There will not be any services or interment. The family has chosen to celebrate Charley's life privately. If you would like to make any donations in his honor, please make donations to Covenant Hospice or the .
