Ivan Isaac (Brad) Bradshaw Jr. passed away peacefully early in the morning on Aug. 13, 2016, in Dallas, Texas, from complications of pneumonia and a recent fall. He was 87.

He is survived by his children, Debra Bradshaw of Mesquite, Texas, Ronald Bradshaw and wife Phyllis of Dallas, Texas, and Dennis Hale and wife JoAnn of Quinlan, Texas; six grandchildren, Katrina Byrd and husband Keon, Adrian Bradshaw, Kelsey Bradshaw, Jeffrey Bradshaw, Kelli Hale and fiancé Carlos Mincy and Colby Hale and daughter Abigail. In addition, he had several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jackson Bradshaw, and his second wife, Mary Ann Bradshaw.

Ivan was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Augusta, Texas, to parents Ivan Isaac Bradshaw Sr. and Fannie Thompson Bradshaw. He was the youngest of three children and his sisters, Thelma Bradshaw Rost and Alma Bradshaw, preceded him in death.
Ivan graduated from Texas A&M University in 1949 with an engineering degree. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean Conflict. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Florida where he attended grad school at Florida State University. He studied meteorology and then was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he served as a meteorologist.

Ivan began a 35-year career in the aerospace defense industry in 1954 when he started working at Ling-Temco-Vought as a draftsman. He stayed with the company as it changed names from LTV, LTV Corporation and finally E-Systems, where he progressed through the ranks and retired in 1989 as executive vice president and assistant general manager.

After retirement, he consulted with E-Systems and was active in the association of former students at Texas A&M where he served as a guest lecturer on numerous occasions.

Ivan married the second love of his life, Mary Hannon, in 1980. Together they traveled the world; square danced, golfed and moved from Greenville to Holly Lake Ranch in 1998. They enjoyed a wide range of friends and celebrated many life events with their family.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons, 1823 S. FM 2869, Holly Lake Ranch, Texas. A private interment will be in Holly Tree Cemetery at Holly Lake Ranch under the direction of Lowe Funeral Home, Quitman at a later date.
