Carlton Elliott Sisler Jr., 93, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, in Cedar Park. Memorial service: 11:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 9, at Greenwood Chapel. Memorials: To the First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth or . Carl was a long time Fort Worth resident but
spent the last 5 years in Cedar Park. Carl was born on Oct. 31, 1922, in Concord, Texas. He graduated from Junction High School in Junction and from Texas A & M University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He served in the United States Navy in World
War II as a deck officer on a LST ship. His career started at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica, Calif. He eventually returned to Texas and took a job at Convair (later General Dynamics). In the early 60s, he worked for NASA in Houston. NASA was just getting
organized. They had offices in south Houston. He finished his career with a residential development on Lake Granbury and later a family investment firm, Sisler, Inc. Carl was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth and was active
in Sunday School and sang in the Chancel Choir for many years. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Elliott Sisler and Lileene Phifer Sisler. Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Martha Bledsoe Sisler; son, David Elliott Sisler; daughter, Carla Sisler
Carpenter; sister, Lorey Cooper; grandchildren, Lauren and Courtney Carpenter and Emma Sisler; extended family, Ryan Balbas and Elaine Brown, who lovingly cared for him during his last four years; and numerous nieces and nephews.
