Emile Joseph Tayar, 61, of Pflugerville, Texas passed away on August 14, 2016.
At the age of 20 Emile came from Lebanon to the United States to attend the University of Tulsa and earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then attended Michigan Technological University for his Master's Degree and finally Texas A&M University
for his Doctorate in Engineering. He was a project manager at IBM from 1984-2002. After operating PakMail for a few years he then began his teaching career at Manor High School in 2009 where he was awarded The Superintendent's Perseverance Award. Emile was
very involved in soccer. He coached all 3 of his children in the Pflugerville Area Youth Soccer League (Pumas, Lightning, and Gators). He also enjoyed playing in various adult soccer leagues. He loved traveling back to Lebanon to visit his family and friends.
Emile was born November 5, 1954 in Lebanon, he was the son of Joseph and Elaine Tayar. He was preceded in death by his mom, dad, and brother Simon. Emile is survived by Adrianne whom he was married to for 23 years; son Joseph and his wife Kristina, daughter
Jacque and her husband Clay, son Andre'; grandchildren Lily, Brady, Kynlee, and Bradley; sisters Nadia and Siham, and brother George.
Funeral services for Emile Tayar will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Pflugerville, Texas. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM, a rosary in the church for those that would like to attend starting at 10:30 AM,
and mass at 11:00 AM. Following Funeral Mass all are invited back to the church hall for a celebration of life where food will be provided.
A scholarship fund in memory of Emile Tayar will be awarded to a student at Manor High School pursuing a degree in math or engineering at a university. In lieu of flowers we ask that you contribute to this scholarship fund through www.youcaring.com/drtayarscholarship.
