Nicole Reed VOHL(1977 - 2016)
VOHL, Nicole Reed
Mrs. Nikki Vohl, loving
mother, wife, teacher and friend, passed away at the age of 39 on Sunday, July 24th, 2016, after courageously battling brain cancer. She was born on May 14, 1977 in Austin, Texas to the parents of Steve and Ginger Reed. She attended Jersey Village High School in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M in College Station with a degree in Microbiology.
In 2002, she married her high school sweetheart, Aaron Jason Vohl, and they were blessed with two incredible children. For the past ten years, she taught 9th grade Biology and Environmental Science at Bowie High School in Austin, Texas. Because of her love of science, Nikki requested that her body be donated for science research at the Texas A&M College of Medicine. In 2013 she was diagnosed with a stage 3 Astrocytoma brain tumor. Along with her support team called "Vibes for Vohl", Nikki participated in three Head for the Cure 5k. She never gave up hope and her encouragement was contagious to those around her.
Nikki is survived by her husband, Aaron Vohl, and her two beautiful children, Anabel age 10 and Gavin age 6. She is survived by her mother, Ginger Reed, in-laws, Larry and Cira Vohl, grandmother, Anna Belle Garner, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and teachers who, with their love and support, kept her strong throughout this most difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, Nikki requested donations be made to Anabel and Gavin's college fund. https://www.gofundme.com/2gh259eh

A private memorial will be held for family and friends at a
