March 22, 1949 - July 23, 2016
Barbara (Prihoda) Seward, 67, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016. Honoring her requests, no public services were held.
Barbara was born in Bryan, Texas on March 22, 1949 to Adolph and Betty Prihoda. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Stephen F. Austin High School, both in Bryan. She graduated with honors from Texas A&M University in 1971.
She married her husband, Clay, in 1972. They did everything together, and it was evident to all that they loved each other deeply. She loved to dance and was always the life of any get-together with family and friends. She was a lifelong devout Catholic, and frequently attended both St. Joseph and St. Mary's Churches.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and her father and mother-in-law, Clay and Iva Seward.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Clay; son, Aaron Seward and wife, Alicia; brother, Bob Prihoda and wife, Becky, and their children; sister-in-law, Peggy Telg, and husband, Ken, and their children; and sister-in-law, Ann Silvear and her children.
Barbara was a firm believer in practicing random acts of kindness. She was intuitively led to perfect strangers who might be having a bad day, and always managed to find a way to bring a smile to their face, either by word or some small deed. Her family requests that those who wish to honor her memory look for little ways each day to follow her example.
