Scott Muennink, Gone Too Soon
by Steve Circeo • June 14, 2016
We are very sad at AMT to hear of the death of Scott Muennink, best known as the drummer for the band Buster Jiggs from Hondo, Texas.
In 1999, Scott, along with his then-future wife Kristin, founded Buster Jiggs. The band went through many personnel changes over the years, with Kristin, who was always the primary songwriter, taking over lead-vocal duties in 2006.
Those of us who knew Scott remember him as a fun-loving, caring person, who always wore a huge smile and truly enjoyed playing music for people.
There is a GoFundMe set up to help Scott’s wife, Kristin, with anything she needs. Please give.
For more information and insight into Scott, Kristin, and Buster Jiggs, you may want to read Rachel Taylor’s 2007 article, written for our predecessor, Texas Music Times.
So long, Scott. You are, indeed, gone too soon.
