1923 - 2008

Waylan Wells Greer, 84, of Stephenville died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, in Stephenville

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to funeral services.

Waylan was born September 22, 1923, in Lingleville to the late Harvey Otis and Minnie Estelle Wells Greer. He was a graduate of Lingleville High School, a 1949 graduate from Texas A & M College, with a bachelor of science degree in Agriculture, and served during WWII in the U. S. Army Air Corp. He was retired from the Texas Department of Heath as a food and drug inspector. He was a life long resident of Erath County, and loved raising black Angus Cattle.

Survivors include his sister, Jessie Juanita 'Mutt' LaDuque of Hobbs, NM; 2 nephews, Ronald LaDuque of Liberty Hill and Danny LaDuque of Laredo; 3 nieces, Peggy Crooks or Big Spring, Carolyn Price of Hobbs, NM, and Patsy Walton of Lubbock; several great nieces and nephews, David and Darrin Crooks, Shelley, Stephen, and Jason LaDuque, Suzie Price, Otis Price, III, Rocky Joe LaDuque, Ronnie Walton, Jr., Gregg Walton, and Michael Walton, and Keetha Cook; and a very special friend, Horace Thompson

He was preceded in death by a sister Tessie Knight

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
