ZEDLITZ Alfred C., DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine), 83, born December 2, 1913 in Rockdale, Texas, died Saturday, July 12, 1997 in Oklahoma City. After 10 years of active service in the U.S. Army (1936-1946), Major Alfred Zedlitz came to Okc in 1945 to establish
a veterinary medical practice, which he had until his retirement in 1989. He was active as a youth in Ballenger, Tx in Boy Scouts and eventually became an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary Medical School in 1936, and was active in both the
State and County Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Associations. Alfred was in "Who's Who in America" in the 1960's. He was a kind, caring, gentle man, a wonderful husband and father, and was an example of caring to everyone he met. He was a longtime member of the
United Methodist Church of Nichols Hills, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Alfred was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Verna Mae Zedlitz. He is survived by his son A.C. Zedlitz Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Aimee Kathleen Zedlitz of Dallas, Tx, A.C. Zedlitz,
