John Raymond Meyer
(March 5, 1940 - April 7, 2016)
John R. (Jack) Meyer, 76, passed away on April 7, 2016.
He was born on March 5, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and went on to get his Masters and PHD in Biology at the University of Southern California. During his field studies, Jack traveled extensively throughout Central America and greatly contributed to the collected scientific knowledge involving the study of reptiles and amphibians of Central America. Most of his research was conducted in Mexico and Honduras, but he also taught at Belize University in Belize, Central America.
He will be sadly missed by his wife; Cyndi, his five siblings, many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
