William Alvin McClung
(December 11, 1932 - July 26, 2007)

Homerville, GA

Mr. William Alvin McClung, 74, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007, suddenly at his residence.

Mr. McClung was born December 11, 1932 in Beverly, West Virginia, to the late, Alvin McClung and Beulah Morrison McClung. Mr. McClung was retired from the U. S. Air Force as a navigator. He was a member of the Homerville United Methodist Church, the Clinch County Chapter #25 DAV and was past Clinch County Extension Agent. He was known for his love of flying model airplanes and helping children in the community.

Survivors are one son: Robert Edward McClung, Myersville, MD; one daughter: Jenny McClung Joya, Cumming, GA; three grandsons: Michael McClung, James McClung and Les Joya; one brother-in-law: John Gerwig, Pinehurst, NC, several nieces, nephews and his faithful friend, Honey Bear.

Memorilization was by cremation with burial at a later date in Elkins, West Virginia.

The family requests donations to the Georgia Sheriffs Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 100, Hahira, GA 31632.
