Ernest Harrison Walker Jr.
January 20, 1947 - July 14, 2015

On July 14, 2015 Ernest Harrison Walker Jr. took his last flight to be with his Lord and Savior. Harrison was born on January 20, 1947 in Eagle Lake, Texas to the late Ernest Harrison Walker Sr. and Dorothy Reese Walker. Harrison, as he was called by most and Bubby by his family and very close friends, was taken after complications from an accident during a trip to Red Rock Colorado with his daughter and son-in-law. Harrison from the time he could talk was in love with airplanes and devoted his entire life to airplanes. As a young child he spent hours gluing model airplanes together. Harrison graduated from Eagle Lake High School in Texas in 1965 and went to Texas A&M University. Harrison joined the the Corps of cadets, Squadron 11, and graduated in 1969. He joined the Air Force and went to Officer Training School at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from LAFB he was sent to Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Mississippi where he went through flight training school for the T-38. He then went to Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio to be a flight instructor for the T-38. He completed his obligation with the Air Force in 1978 and moved to Denver, Colorado. Harrison was employed by United Airlines. During his many years with United Airlines he was in charge of writing the programs for the pilot training. On June 30, 2015 Harrison retired from United Airlines after almost 37 years.
Harrison leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Peggy Walker; daughter, Tiffany Cannedy and husband Brook of Bentonville Arkansas; son Adam Walker and wife Lynne Walker of Denver Colorado; three grandchildren Katlyn and Hunter Cannedy; Julia Tucker; brother Bill Walker and wife Judy Walker of Lago Vista, Texas; two nieces; two great nieces; and two great nephews; and also many other relatives and friends.
Ernest will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:15am, Committal Pavilion C.
