Lucian Morris McCarroll PADUCAH-Funeral services for Lucian Morris McCarroll, 92, of Paducah will be held at 1 p.m Friday, April 10, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Paducah with Henry Sally officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories
in Paducah under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home. Mr. McCarroll passed from this life on April 6, 2015, in Lubbock. A visitation was held on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Lucian was born on July 14, 1922, in Temple, OK,
to Jake McCarroll and Opal Calloway McCarroll. He joined the Navy where he served until 1945. He married Norma Abreu on Jan. 1, 1946, in Coffeeville, KS. From this union they had three children: Delores, Sharon, and Gary. He attended Texas A&M where he received
his Masters and graduated from Oklahoma State. Lucian taught college before he became the Cottle County Extension Agent. One year he was awarded County Agent of the Year in Texas. He also designed and worked on dairies in Oklahoma. He was a Sunday School Superintendent
at the First United Methodist Church for many years, a member of the Lion's Club, and was really big into the 4H Club and livestock shows. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Delores Brown of Lubbock, Texas, Sharon West and husband, Steve of
Littlefield, Texas, and Gary McCarroll of Lubbock, Texas; three grandchildren, Clint West, Alicia McCarroll, and Dakota McCarroll. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Opal McCarroll; one brother; two sisters; and a grandson, Will West. The family
has asked that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Paducah or the Paducah Cemetery Association.
