Harris P. Smith, Jr. was born December 1, 1927 in Bryan, Texas, and passed away March 2, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Bryan High School and attended Texas A&M University, class of 1948. He serviced in the Air Force during the Korean War, and then took a job with Brown and Root in 1952. In 1955, he married Lottie Jo Helms and celebrated 59 years of marriage.
He is survived by one daughter, Lilianne; one son, Brian; and one brother, Robert.
Services are to be held Thursday, March 5th, at Advantage Funeral and Cremation, 7010 Chetwood Drive, Houston, at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Brookwood Community org., 1752 FM 1489 Brookshire, Texas 77423.
