Frankie Joe Slovak 
(February 20, 1953 - January 6, 2015)
Frankie Joe Slovak, 61, passed away in Rowlett, Texas on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, surrounded by his loving and devoted family. 

Frankie Joe was born in Dallas, Texas on February 20, 1953 to Frank Emil and Betty Agnes (Marusak) Slovak. He grew up in Hutchins, Texas and graduated from Bishop-Dunne High School in 1972. He went on to Texas A&M University receiving a degree in accounting. 

He was a master carpenter. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Rowlett, Knights of Columbus #10646, A&M Century Club, and KJT. He enjoyed dancing, Texas A&M football, the Dallas Cowboys. His passion was wood working and history. 

He is survived by his soul mate and the love of his life, Linda Slovak; his mother, Betty Slovak; step-sons: Richard Garcia and Greg Garcia; step-daughter, Toni Scarborough and husband, Donald; two grandchildren: Dustin and Allyssa; three brothers: Edward Slovak and wife, Tomo, Gary Slovak, Anthony Slovak and wife, Malisa; three sisters: Kathleen Peters and husband, Ron, Annette Prasifka and husband, Phillip and Ellen McDonald and husband, Mark along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Emil Slovak, and one brother, Donnie Slovak. 

Visitation will be on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian burial will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ennis Chapter of the A&M Club (www.ennisaggieclub.com) or the Ellis County Chapter at (www.ellisaggies.org) in Frankie's memory, Class of '78.
