Son of The late Wendell and Elizabeth(Steed) Wood. He was a U.S. Air Corp Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Texas A&M University, was a Member of The First Baptist Church. Ernest married Betty Culwell January 8, 1961..he was a teacher at Lueders Avoca High for many years.
Survived by his wife Betty Wood, two sons Wendell Wood and his wife Diane, Allan Wood and wife Beth. Two sisters Dorothy Baucum and Mary Belle Moore.
