Charles Erwin Bucek
March 10, 1929-January 19, 2014

Charles E. Bucek was born in Hallettsville, Texas on March 10, 1929, and passed away on January 19, 2014.

Charles graduated from Hallettsville High School, and then attended and graduated from Texas A&M in 1950.  He was a vetern of the Koren War, serving in the Field Artillery as a Second Lieutenant.  He received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal.

Charles returned to Houston and worked in the “Oil Patch” for Continental Emsco, Gray Tool, and Superior Oil of Louisiana.

Charles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gaynelle; his son Charles Brown Bucek; his daughter Candace Flournoy; sister Mary Jonietz; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren
