Webb Henry Cox Sr.(1926 - 2015)
COX, SR., Webb Henry Webb Henry Cox, Sr., age 88, of Dallas, Texas, passed away January 22, 2015, in Dallas. Webb was born June 22, 1926, in DeSoto, Texas, to Hayes and Woodie (Stevenson) Cox. He graduated from DeSoto High School in 1944 and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. Webb married Dorothy Skinner on December 20, 1948 in Rockwall, Texas. He earned a bachelor degree in dairy manufacturing and production from Texas A & M University. Webb began his career in dairy manufacturing and later became a school teacher and later sold insurance. Most significantly, he pioneered the business of packaging government loans for small businesses which enabled hundreds to begin or expand and achieve success. Webb loved his work and also enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cox of Dallas, Texas; son, Henry Cox, Jr. and wife, Karen of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Barbara Cox, of Dallas and Betty Rosenthal and husband, Brent, also of Dallas; and grandchildren, Crystal Rosenthal and husband, Scott Gleeson, Benjamin Rosenthal, Lauren Rosenthal, and Leah Rosenthal, all of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Thomas Cox, and sister, Stella Cox. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment with military honors will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
