Christopher M. Loar

Dr. Christopher M. Loar passed away unexpectedly on November 30, 2014 at the age of 59. Chris was born November 26, 1955 in Grapevine, Texas. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University and Washington University School of Medicine. He completed a neurology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and a fellowship in neurophysiology at Yale University School of Medicine. Since 1990 Chris has been a member of the medical staff at Kingwood Medical Center and, over his 24 years of practice, provided kind and compassionate care to thousands of patients.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Catherine Palmer-Loar, his son Dr. Robert W. Loar, daughter-in-law Amy Loar and grandson Elliott Loar, his son Stephen F. Loar, his father and mother Robert and Patricia Landgren, sisters Karen Sultemeier and husband Joe, Elaine Shasteen and husband Robert, Roberta Daugherty and husband William, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who were very dear to him. He will be missed by his friends, neighbors, colleagues, and patients.
A memorial service was held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 9 at Kingwood Funeral Home.
