Vijay Garg
Vijay Kumar Garg, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away unexpectedly on November 5, 2014 while on a business trip in London, UK. He was 65.
Vijay was born in Pauri Garhwal, Uttrakhand, India to his parents, Banarsi Das and Gaytri Devi Garg. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1973 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He married the love of his life, Kathryn, in 1976. They made their home
in the Houston area with daughters Kristine, Tracy and Sabrina.
Vijay was known for his generous spirit and unwavering devotion to his family. Making time to be present for his children and grandchildren’s milestones was a top priority of his. He was always there to lend a supportive shoulder, warm hug or encouraging word.
He had a kind soul with an easy sense of humor, which was apparent to his family and friends through his endearing smile and infectious laugh. He excelled in his career as a Project Manager, most currently employed at Foster Wheeler.
Vijay is survived by his wife, Kathryn, daughters and sons-in-law Kristine and Steve Potter, Tracy and Chuck Burns and Sabrina and Jason Young, brother Narendra (Raj) Garg, sister Manju (Pradeep) Kumar, grandchildren Alisha, Robert, Trevor, Katy and Ashley,
nephews Manuj, Praveen, Ajay and Jay, and niece Anjali. He is preceded in death by his brother Ashok and sisters Beenu and Geeta.
