Stephen Syptak
June 27, 1974 – October 15, 2014
Stephen Bennett Syptak, 40, of Bryan, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. A time for family to receive friends will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, 506 E. 28th Street in Bryan. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Sitton officiating. A reception will follow after the service at the church. Hillier Funeral, Cremation and Bereavement Specialists have been entrusted to his care.
Stephen was born on June 27, 1974 to Albert “Buzz” Syptak Jr. and Sharon Wehring in Bryan. He graduated from Bryan High School in Bryan, Texas in 1992. Stephen graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agriculture Economics in 1996 and from South Texas College of Law in 2000. He practiced law for 14 years.
Stephen was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bryan. He was also involved with Twin City Missions and the Brazos County Bar Association. Stephen also loved being with his kids and loved college football, especially, Aggie Football.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert “Buzz” Syptak Jr.
Stephen leaves behind his loving wife, Kimberly (Crawford) Syptak; his daughter, Ashton Syptak and son, Bennett Syptak. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon Wehring of Bryan; his brother and sister-in-law Jamin and Janet Syptak of Bryan; his sister and brother-in-law Stephanie and Doug Kasper of The Woodlands; and numerous nephews, extended family and friends.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund set up for Ashton and Bennett: American Momentum Bank, C/O Teresa Horn, One Momentum Blvd, College Station, TX 77845.
