Noel J. Everard(1923 - 2014)
Noel J. Everard, Ph.D., 90, died in Arlington on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2021 New York Ave., Arlington, followed by a procession to the cemetery. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church or to the JCCC Foundation/Dr. Noel J. Everard Engineering Scholarship, 12345 College Blvd., Overland Park, Kan. 66210. He was born on Christmas Eve, 1923 in New Orleans, La., to Lydia and James Everard. Noel earned a B.S. and M.S. in civil engineering from LSU and a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Texas A&M University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in field artillery, attaining the rank of captain. Survivors: Noel is survived by his best friend and spouse, Courtney Le Blanc Everard; his children, Ann Fielder and Scott Everard; grandchildren, Jennifer Bodie, Dawn Everard, Joshua Everard, Chris Fielder; and great-grandchildren, Mathew and Jackson Bodie.
