KATHERINE LUKINGBEAL, 31, of Sugar Land, Texas, died late Wednesday afternoon [August 27, 2014]. She graduated from Clements High School in 2001. She received a B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M in 2005, and completed her education with a Master's Degree from
The University of Texas School of Social Work in 2008.
Katherine was a gentle soul, loved and respected by many and did not have a mean bone in her body. She loved sunsets and rainbows, the beach, gardening, children, and Siamese cats. She volunteered with the Houston Food Bank and many other local charities.
Katherine was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Sugar Land. She was a seventh generation Texan and a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her mother, Patti Livingston; father, Steve Lukingbeal and his wife Jenny Elskes; and her brother, Patrick Lukingbeal and his partner Jason Dedrick. Katherine's beloved little sister, Kelsey, died in 2010.
