David Henry Hames, 66, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed from this life Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at his home in Garland. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Shannon Rose Hill Chapel, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family
requests donations to Mary Crowley Cancer Research Center, 1700 Pacific Ave., Ste. 1100, Dallas, Texas 75201 or online atmarycrowley.org. David was born Sept. 17, 1947, in Fort Worth to Henry and Mary Hames. He graduated from Azle High School ('65), Texas
A&M ('69) and UT Arlington ('91). Later in life, he achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a CPA and worked for Philip Courtney Hogan P.C., in Dallas. Besides his family, his two great passions were fishing and photography. He was preceded in death by his
parents. Survivors: Wife, Nancy Harbutz Hames; son, J.R. Hames and wife, Cindy; son, Stephen Hames and fiancee, Tiffany Nichols; stepdaughters, Brittany, Lacey and Linden Harbutz; brother, Pete Hames; brother, Mark Hames and wife, Jill; grandsons, Ryan and
Grayden; and stepgranddaughters, Maya and Stella.

David Henry Hames, 66, a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed from this life Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at his home in Garland.
David was born September 17, 1947 in Fort Worth to Henry and Mary Hames. He graduated from Azle High School ('65), Texas A&M ('69) and UT Arlington ('91). Later in life, he achieved his life-long dream of becoming a CPA and worked for Philip Courtney Hogan
P.C., in Dallas. Besides his family, his two great passions were fishing and photography.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Wife, Nancy Harbutz Hames; son J.R. Hames and wife Cindy; son Stephen Hames and fiancée Tiffany Nichols; step-daughters Lacey and Linden Harbutz; brother Pete Hames; brother Mark Hames and wife Jill; and grandsons
Ryan and Grayden.
