Morris John Vogel
Morris J. Vogel, 67, of Vidor died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Vidor Health and Rehab Nursing Home in Vidor. A lifelong resident of Vidor, John graduated from Vidor High School in 1965, and from the Texas A&M University in 1969 with a B S in Psychology. John worked for various construction companies, and taught school at BIS District for many years. He was preceded in death by his father Jerome P. Vogel. John is survived by his mother Frances L. Vogel of Vidor, sister Miriam Vogel Hodges (Russell) of FL., brother Jerome Vogel, II (Brenda) of Beaumont, and a sister of the heart Anna Yvette Gonzales (Lolo) of Kountze. Morris also had two nieces: Donna Hodges Keel (Billy) and Deana Hodges Moorman (James) and one nephew Donny Hodges (Anna) all of FL., and four great nephews, and three great nieces all of FL., and many aunts, uncles, and cousins living in Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home.
