GERLICH
Charles Walter Gerlich, age 64, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012. He was born July 20, 1947 in San Antonio, Texas to Norman and Mabel Gerlich. After graduating from Texas A&M in 1969, he served in the Army National Guard. Charlie was a successful homebuilder
in the Austin area for more than 35 years. He formed many lasting relationships in the area. As a young man, Charlie loved to travel the country with his family, playing sports, fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities. One of his greatest joys in life
was coaching his sons in sports. Charlie was happiest spending time outdoors with his family. Always passionate about his children, he was a dedicated and loyal family man, good son and a good father. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother,
Norman Gerlich, Jr. Charlie is survived by his children, Bryan McReynolds and wife, Rebe, Jeff Gerlich, Sarah Gerlich, Emily Gerlich, and Ben Gerlich; grandchildren, Camden, Myla and Keely; and numerous other loving family members and friends. Charlie will
be missed. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at www.cookwaldenforestoaks.com.
