Thomas Patrick Jr.
Thomas William Patrick, Jr., age 65, of Houston, TX, died on the 12th of October 2011, at his home.
Tom was born on the 9th of October 1946, in Corsicana, TX, to Thomas William "Billy" and Frances Crowe Patrick.
Tom was a 1965 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, Texas. He then attended Texas A&M University graduating in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in economics. Tom was the Adjutant/Inspector General of the First Brigade Staff of the Corps of Cadets
and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S Army from 1969-72.
Following honorable discharge from the Army in 1972, Tom began his insurance career in San Francisco, CA. His career took him to Hartford, CT, West Palm Beach, FL, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and finally back to Houston, TX. He was fortunate to work for several strong
companies and make many friends over the years.
Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, golf, handball, playing the guitar, and baseball. He truly loved his time as a baseball coach where he was a positive influence on countless young players, including his own son, Brian, whose career he followed from Duke
University to the Toronto Blue Jays organization.
Tom is survived by his son, Brian Patrick, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and Angela Patrick of Houston, TX.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances; father, Billy; and brother, Michael Patrick.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six until eight o'clock in the evening on Monday, the 17th of October, in the Library and Grand Foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 18th of October, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the adjacent Grand
Foyer.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that contributions in Tom's memory be directed to the American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
