April 17-18 was to have been Aggie Ring Day. Unfortunately the shelter-in-place order in Brazos County, instituted to slow the spread of COVID-19, still prevents us from the complex task of shipping Aggie Rings. The security of something so precious to so many and the safety of our staff is of the utmost importance. But the speedy and secure delivery of Rings to their rightful owners will be the very first thing we do as soon as we can get back into the Clayton W. Williams Jr., Alumni Center.
Watch a message from Porter S. Garner III '79, our president and CEO, who expresses a sentiment felt by the entire Association staff: "We know you are disappointed. We are disappointed, too."
The absence of a Ring Day event cannot lessen the importance of the Aggie Ring nor diminish the academic achievement it signifies. The power of the Aggie Ring does not emanate from one day of celebration but from its significance as the most visible symbol of the worldwide Aggie Network and the connections it facilitates among Aggies. We hope you will wear your Ring for many years to come and cherish the memories you’ll create and connections you’ll meet while wearing it.
Thank you for your patience. Stay safe and gig 'em, Ags!
