Scot Walker '90 July 24, 2017 9:53 AM updated: October 31, 2018 2:05 PM

Aggie Women will gather at Messina Hof Winery and Resort in Bryan on Sept. 7 to celebrate 10 years of service to the women of the Aggie Network.

The Women Former Students’ Network, now known as Aggie Women, was incorporated in 2007 on the 45th anniversary of the admission of women to Texas A&M University. Today, members live across the U.S. and in six countries, representing all disciplines and nearly every class year since 1964.

The anniversary event will include featured guests and speakers who were instrumental in the organization's past as well as current Aggie women leaders on the Texas A&M campus. Included student speakers are Amy Sharp '19, Class of 2019 president; Sara Wojcak '18, deputy Corps commander; and Jasmine Wang '19, speaker of the student Senate.

The event, presented by Aggie Women and the Texas A&M Women's Resource Center, is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. Sept. 7 at Messina Hof Winery, 4545 Old Reliance Road in Bryan. No seats remain for this free event, but a waitlist has been created; add your name at https://aggiewomen.org/event-2542330.

The mission of Aggie Women is to promote the active engagement of women in the educational, charitable and cultural life of the university by connecting women former students with current students, faculty and each other. Annually, the achievements of women former students are recognized through the Women’s Legacy Awards. The group also supports current students through Presidential Endowed Scholarships, provides speakers through the Aggie Experts program, and sponsors an annual conference.
