A four-day charity event featuring entertainment, vendors, cookoffs, contests and world-record attempts is coming to Wolf Pen Creek Park & Amphitheater in College Station.
The 2017 Spirit of Texas Festival will run March 2-5. Organizers plan to try to break world records for the largest pot of chili and the largest group of Texas Two-Steppers. There will be an art contest and show, a barbecue cookoff, food trucks, car and bike shows, a pageant and much more. The event is to benefit selected charities: K9s 4 Cops, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas, and Mobility Worldwide.
This event presents many opportunities to get involved:
- Are you a vendor selling cool treasures, valuable antiques, special wares or things we just can’t live without? The festival will feature hundreds of vendors from across the state and the country displaying unique keepsakes.
