Found Memorial Bracelet

Jonathan Rozier '01 died in July of 2003 while serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq. He was the first Aggie to die in the War on Terror.

There's a military tradition that when a soldier is a Prisoner of War, is MIA, or when a soldier is killed in in the War on Terrorism, the living can show their remembrance and patriotism by having a memorial bracelet made with the fallen's name.

This past week, Jonathan's mother, Barbara Rozier, received a package in the mail from St. Paul, Minnesota. Inside was a memorial bracelet with Jonathan's name on it.

The sender, who did not know Barbara, said she found the bracelet in her strawberry patch. She doesn't know how it got there, but she wanted Barbara to have it.

St. Paul, Minnesota, is quite the distance from Katy, Texas, where Barbara lives. In fact, she said in reporting done by click2houson.com that she doesn't know anyone who lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.

"Someone was concerned enough to wear his name after they knew he had been killed in action," Barbara said in reporting done by khou.com. "So I'd just love to know who that was. Maybe it's a fellow Aggie that had this made and lost it. I would love to know who owned it and the story behind who owned it."

She's now reaching out to the Aggie Network. Can you help solve the mystery?
