Texas A&M is home to Aggies CAN, one of the largest student/athlete-directed canned food drives in the country. More than 200 student-athletes will be collecting cans and donations at soccer, volleyball, basketball and football games.
Look for the Aggies CAN student/athletes at events beginning on Sunday, Nov. 13, and continuing through Nov. 19. They are easy to spot in their lime green T-shirts.
Aggies CAN began in 2000 with a handful of students at a football game. In 2015, Aggies raised the bar and donated over $40,000 and 9,000 cans to benefi the 12th Can, the Brazos Valley Food Bank, and the South Carolina Flood Relief. This year’s recipients will be the Brazos Valley Food Bank and the 12th Can.
