Aaron Chauvin, 78, died at his home on Sunday, February 13, 2011.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, Aaron served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After retirement from the petroleum industry, he and his wife moved to New Bern, where he enjoyed his hobbies of fishing, hunting and golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lenora; daughter, Claire Yvette Chauvin and husband, Patrick Phipps; son, Nicholas Chauvin and wife, Kathy; two grandchildren, Eleanor Phipps and Charlie Chauvin, all of Houston, Texas; a sister, Sylvia Townsdin and husband, Keith of Lafayette, La.

The family extends special thanks to all of his doctors and their staffs, the Craven County EMT, and Craven County Home Health and Hospice for their loving care.
