Class of '50 Mini Reunion

Fall Mini Reunion
October 2-5, 2014
Bandera, TX

Howdy!
The grand of all grand Reunions is in Bandera, Texas on October 2-5. I picked these dates for two reasons: 1) the A&M football team schedule is not a home game and 2) kids are back in school. We will have the playground to ourselves. It’s only six months away, so make your reservation now - the deadline for reservations is August 31. Do not wait for the last minute, as you know there is a large playroom in the complex, plus it contains 10 rooms. There are also other cabins nearby.

The Flying L Guest Ranch has a great history. Back in the old days, this was the expensive ritzy place with a private air strip where the tenants would fly in to party (and I do mean party). We are going to have a ball. One thing for sure is we will not have to listen to any speeches, so bring all your good bull with you. That means pictures during the school year and during military service. I plan on bringing a record player with 33 & 45 albums, and if you have any records feel free to bring them. We will do a little dancing, singing and, of course, drinking. We will also probably play cards (gin, canasta and other games) and dominoes. We all can act like drug store cowboys and wear anything we like. We can go horseback riding, play golf and have free time to relax. As you know, all meals, except for two lunches on Friday and Saturday, are furnished. We can order pizza and/or go out to eat. Breakfast and dinner are included in the daily cost of $75 per day per person.

While there, you can drive around and see the sites. There is a town called Medina, which has an apple orchard and you can purchase apple cider. Plus they have a lot of leather gift items and knick-knacks. I know some of you are unable to attend due to health problems, but we will be thinking about you. The other folks, which includes widows, WWII veterans and Corps members, especially the Classmates who have never attended a Reunion, this is your last chance for the "biggy." You all from the surrounding towns like San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Dallas area, Houston area, Brenham, Bellville, College Station, Richmond, Rosenberg, Katy, Georgetown, Hondo, the valley area, El Campo, Wharton, Hillsboro, etc. Now all you foreigners from other states, you are also welcome. Bandera is only 50 miles from San Antonio. Fellow Classmates, think hard and fast and make your reservation as soon as possible. You can find the reservation form by clicking here. You can also find more information about the Reunion on our Reunion Page here. Come one, come all—let's see if we can match our 50th Reunion attendance. Come and join our great Class of ’50! Please email me if you have any questions.
