Terrance "Terry" Loughry(1947-2012)
LEONARD - Funeral Services for Mr. Terrance "Terry" Earl Loughry, 64 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Rev. James Seigler will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard
Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 -8 p.m. Friday, May 4.
Mr. Loughry was born June 30, 1947 at Watseka, Ill. His parents were Earl V. and DeLoris Genevieve Sayers Loughry. He graduated from High School at Kempton, Ill., earned a bachelors degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University and a master's degree
in public administration from Midwestern State University. He was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, and served his country as a member of the United States Army (serving in Vietnam) and worked as a civil engineer.
He married Sharon Beth McLain July 7, 1979 at Mabank, Texas. He was a member of the Opel Club and the Fannin County Texas A&M Club. He served two terms on the city council at Wichita Falls and he coached several children's baseball and basketball teams. He
loved to hunt and camp and his hobby was rebuilding vehicles (automobiles and tractors) including a 1949 9-N Ford Tractor that is featured in the current Country Magazine Calendar, the month of January.
He is survived by his wife, Beth McLain Loughry of Leonard; his son and daughter-in-law, T.J. and Addison Loughry of Wichita Falls; his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Dan Marshall of Bloomington, Ill.; his daughter, Lindsey Loughry of Austin; his grandsons,Parker,
Grant and Luke Marshall of Bloomington, Ill.; his sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Dwayne Godbee of Crane Hill, Ala.; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Bob Irwin of Mabank; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Sue McLain of San
Jose, Calif.; his mother-in-law, Nell McLain of Leonard; his dear friend, Mary Jane Bowen of Bloomington, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Gerald McLain.
