Allen Glenn Riley, 84, died Thursday, Jan. 14, at Hamilton General Hospital.
Services were Saturday, Jan. 16, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dean Reed officiating. Burial was in Pottsville Public Cemetery under the direction of Riley Funeral Home.
Mr. Riley was born June 27, 1914, in Pottsville, the son of James Fisher and Ida Mourfield Riley. He was married to Nelline Buchanan on Aug. 6, 1939, at Bryan. He was a soil conservationist for the US Department of Agriculture. He was a member of the First
United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Nelline Riley of Hamilton; three daughters, Carolyn Kay Keller of Cosmopolis, Wash., Glenda G. Foegelle of Carrollton and Donna Matheis of Dubois, Ind.; two sisters, Pearl Kemp of Hamilton and Ruth Newton of Midland; a brother, Mack
Riley of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert Witzsche, Andy McMullen, Dale Sills, Dr. Ping N. Tan, Jerome Pietzsch and Leonard Kirkland.
