Anderson Ross Frank Jr.
Frank Jr., Anderson Ross Anderson Ross (A.R.) passed away on March 26, 2010. He was born on Nov. 29, 1924 at St. Paul's Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was the second child of Anderson Ross Frank, Sr. and Faye Williamson. His early years were spent in East Dallas,
graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School. After graduating from East Texas State University, he was inducted into military service in 1943 and spent 33 months in uniform. He was assigned to a B-17 bomber crew as a tail gunner and they, as a crew, were sent
to the 100th Bomb Group. The crew named their plane "Buffalo Gal," and she participated in the first daylight raids on Berlin in 1944. "Buffalo Gal," was a part of 6 groups of B-17s that bombed the German front lines in Hungary and continued on east to land
at Mirgorod, Russia. He married Bette Galloway in 1949. This union produced three children all of which he said have been nothing but pure joy. He leaves behind Bette along with son, Anderson, III (Ande) and his two boys, Anderson, IV and Brody, daughter Celia
LaRoe and her children, Russell and Lesley, and daughter Dakan and her husband Greg Pillsbury and their children, Preston, Ellie, and Catherine, along with 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a
great-grandfather, a veteran of World War II, a Mason, a fairly decent golfer, and an avid fan of CNBC. He donated his body to the Southwestern Medical School Willed Body Program. A memorial service will be held April 9, 2:00 p.m., at St. Christopher's Episcopal
