Exploring Australia & New Zealand

March 15, 2014 - April 5, 2014

Your journey begins in Cairns, gateway to Australia’s Far North. Board a boat for a day-long excursion to the Great Barrier Reef where you can swim, snorkel and see the reef up close.  Embark on an Aboriginal “dreamtime” tour and learn about the ancient culture of the Walpiri tribes people. Watch the sun set over the fabled sandstone monolith at Ayers Rock.  Tour Sydney’s famous beaches, its harbor, and iconic Opera House.  Then fly to New Zealand and explore Mt. Cook National Park during a two-night stay.  Take a cruise through the breathtaking fjords of Milford Sound.  In Rotorua experience a geothermal reserve and the Maori culture at a traditional hangi performance.  Celebrate your journey’s end in Auckland, with the option of extending your stay on your own for 3 days/2 nights.

Small group touring and the Lands Down Under – they add up to a perfect combination as we travel from Australia’s spectacular Great Barrier Reef and the storied Outback and Ayers Rock to sophisticated Sydney; from New Zealand’s towering Mt. cook and breathtaking Milford Sound to high-spirited Queenstown and nautical Auckland.
