As we began making college plans with our daughter this year, it became a time to remember all the great times we had while attending A&M, and how much of an impact A&M has had on our lives. From meeting each other in Sbisa to the values A&M instills in its students, our lives have been shaped by that time. Jobs on campus, scholarships, student loans, and the generosity of others helped us graduate, and we wanted to give just a little bit back.

He continues to work as a consultant and on special projects. His volunteer service has included 4-H, his church, The Association of Former Students and the Brazos County A&M Club.

Pat and Barbara have a son, Kyle ’11, and a daughter, Jennifer ’14.

Our favorite tradition is Aggie Muster—“Once an Aggie, always an Aggie.” It is comforting to know every Aggie is remembered by their comrades and they will answer “Here” when we can no longer answer for ourselves. Another is the Corps of Cadets. Although we have always had tremendous respect and appreciation for the Corps, it was enhanced the last four years by our son’s experience and growth. The traditions and camaraderie are unmatched. Stepoff, March-in, Final Review—all stir tremendous pride and emotion toward Texas A&M.

Dan Kasprowicz graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1961. In 1962, Dan enlisted in the United Stated Air Force, stationed at Kelly AFB and Misawa AFB in Japan. Dan received the Air Force Commendation Medal and retired as Captain in 1967. He then went to work for Armco Steel, in Houston as an engineer. In 1968, Dan went to work at Southwest Bell Telephone and retired from there 25 years later as the Division Manager-Network.

A&M gave me the opportunity to grow, learn and mature. I learned the values of friendship and duty. I hope someone will benefit from their time at A&M as I was fortunate to do. The bond between Aggies always meant you could find a friend wherever your life’s journey took you. The Aggie Network is a living, breathing reality.
