Born on August 21, 2004, in Brazil, Thiago lived a life marked by kindness, sincerity, hard work, and deep love for his family. He spent his early childhood in Três Lagoas, later lived in Indaiatuba, and at age 10 made his home in College Station, Texas, where he grew into an extraordinary young man who touched the lives of so many around him.
Thiago attended College Station High School and continued his education at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School, where he studied Business Management. He was dedicated to his studies, consistently earned strong grades, and made his family proud through his discipline, intelligence, and determination. He was also passionate about his work at Casa do Brasil, where he found joy and purpose. Those who knew him understood how much he genuinely loved being there.
Thiago was the kind of person who made an impression through both his character and his presence. He was cheerful, loving, sincere, and always willing to help. He was known for bringing family together, adapting to life with maturity and grace, and carrying himself with a strong sense of responsibility and values. He was loving with everyone, did not hold grudges in his heart, and had a humor that could light up any room.
He loved watching movies, listening to Latin music, enjoying good food, and following soccer and professional sports. He loved fantasy football, card games like canasta, and had a special love for Harry Potter, having read the books multiple times. He was talented in the kitchen, loved Brazilian food, and also had a love for Japanese food. He also dearly loved his two cats, who were a special part of his everyday life. He loved his home country of Brazil and also fell in love with the United States, embracing both as important parts of his life and identity.
To his family, Thiago was so much more than his accomplishments. He was a devoted son, a protective brother, a treasured grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He shared a special bond with his sister, Manuela, filled with laughter, movies, video games, inside jokes, and a connection so close they often understood each other without saying a word. He was always looking out for her, and even in moments of disagreement, he never stayed far from making her laugh again.
He is survived by his mom, Marcela Rosenstein; his dad, Maurice Rosenstein; his father, Reginaldo Martelo; his stepmother, Laura Martelo; his sister, Manuela Ruiz; his half-sister, Maria Martelo; his grandmother, Olga Ruiz; his grandfather, Ardocides Martelo; his aunts, Solange Martelo and Elaine Martelo; his uncle, Magno Ruiz; numerous cousins; and his extended Rosenstein family.
