Jacob Michael Zieben
March 28, 1991 - August 1, 2025
Our beloved son and brother, Jacob Michael Zieben, sadly passed away suddenly in New York City on August 1, 2025 at the young age of 34 years. He was born on March 28, 1991 in San Antonio Texas.
He leaves behind his loving parents, Marc and Morna Zieben, younger sister, Sarah Zieben, his grandmother, Bernice Zieben as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jacob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Zieben and cousin Jeffrey Pollicoff.
He graduated from Sandra Day O’Connor High School and went on to study Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University in College Station. Jacob moved to New York to pursue modeling and acting but soon found a passion for fitness and personal training. He helped to implement EMS (electrical muscle stimulation technology) in his training programs for his many clients. Jacob’s ability to motivate people helped them change for the better and take back their lives.
Jacob also enjoyed being with family, kayaking, beach combing, watching science fiction shows, exercising, cooking and eating pizza. He was a lifelong animal lover having many and varied pets.
We are enormously proud of his amazing life and what he accomplished in his career. Jacob was a friend to all. He brought joy to all around him. We will miss his sense of humor, his kindness, his big smile and how he made us feel that we could always do a little bit more. Jacob always faced the challenges of life with courage and determination. The day before he passed, he saved a little girl’s life who had run into the streets of New York City. Jacob dashed to pull her out of harm's way just in time. That is how Jacob lived his life, helping others in need. The world is definitely an emptier place without his presence. He was loved by all. Jacob was buried in Mission Park Dominion and Cemetery on August 10, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas.
