Richard Clark Male, Sr.

August 13, 1934 - May 29, 2025

It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Clark Male, Sr., who peacefully departed this life May 29, 2025, at the age of 90 in Georgetown, Texas.

Born in Crowell, Texas, on August 13, 1934, to Leonard and Francis Male, Richard lived a life full of love, integrity, and unwavering devotion to his family and country. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Class of 1957. After college, Richard honorably served in the U.S. Army before building a distinguished career as an industrial engineer. He worked in sales within the oil and gas industry for over two decades and later found success as a contractor, overseeing numerous residential and commercial building projects.

He was a man of deep passions — for the land, the outdoors, and the people he loved. Richard’s happiest days were spent at his ranch, enjoying hunting, fishing, and the beauty of nature. He was known for his intelligence, warm humor, a great taste in music, dancing, and an appreciation for a good glass of wine or cocktail.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, DR Richard and Shellie Male.; his daughter and son in law, PA Felicia and Paul van Rensburg; his cherished grandchildren, Cole and Elba Male, Alexandra and Danny Flores, Jared Male, William Male, Kerrigan van Rensburg, and Irlynn van Rensburg; his precious great granddaughter, Eleanor Male; his step grandchildren, CPT Kelsee and CPT Zachary Hober, CPT Weldon Joshua and Emilie Miller, and Lindsee Miller; his step great grandchildren; Heidi and Andrew Hober and McKoy Miller; his lovely sister, Marylynn Eggleston; and his beautiful twin sister, Virginia Grossmann; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Richard was a devoted husband to Patricia Male, his beloved wife of 60 years, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Lisa Male, and his brother Leonard Male.

A proud Aggie, a patriot, a man of faith and family, Richard was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church and will be remembered most for the profound love he had for his children, grandchildren, and the many lives he touched.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 20th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Albany Cemetery, Albany, Texas.
