Jerry Dean Jurischk 

July 23, 1945 - June 10, 2024 

Jerry Dean Jurischk, 78, passed from his life on June 10, 2024 in Spring, Texas. He was born to the late Alvin and Hildegard (Roth) Jurischk in Houston, Texas on July 23, 1945.

Jerry was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church on August 31, 1945. In 1948, he lost his father so the family moved to live with Grandma Roth in Houston, Texas. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School from grades one through eight. He was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church on May 17, 1959. He graduated from John H. Reagan High School in Houston, Texas on May 31, 1963 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education on January 17, 1970 from Texas A & M University.

One of his favorite pastimes was dancing at the Esquire Ball Room and Tin Hall. Jerry had quite a style for dressing. He was hard to miss with his tall frame perfectly dressed in starched jeans and western shirt accessorized with a finely-shined belt buckle…polished western boots and a cowboy hat to finish the look.

Jerry worked most of his life in the Building Construction Industry. In the early 80’s, he moved back to the Klein community to live on family property. He retired in 2021 from Hixon Lumber Company in Willis, Texas. Jerry was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with volunteering many hours over the years for his dedication in supporting the youth of Texas.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Hilda Jurischk, wife, Doris Fort Easter Jurischk, sister, Gloria Griffith, and his twin sister, Merilyn Jurischk.

A Committal service will take place on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Pastor Ralph Hobratschk will be officiating.

Jerry is survived by his relatives and friends.
